S.A.L.U.T.E. Supporting All Ladies in Uniform Today and Forevermore

Yesterday my daughter Ellie and I were invited to participate in a neat event on Ft Bragg, NC called S.A.L.U.T.E. It was hosted by the women of the Wood Memorial Chapel. The focus of the conference was women who were called to serve their nation. Some who attended were currently serving on active duty and others who served and are now retired. It was a wonderful event to honor these women and to say thank you for their sacrifice. It meant a great deal to me as our oldest daughter is currently serving on active duty in South Korea.

The conference began with my daughter leading the group in worship and the chaplain speaking a short but powerful word, then my dear friend Delphine Floyd, and visionary behind the event prayed over the group. We broke for fellowship and lunch together finishing that block of time with a panel of professionals answering unique questions to assist those on active duty. As the morning progressed I was getting so excited as God began to reveal the same theme spoken through the songs of worship and different individuals who shared. I had been asked to share last and as my turn approached I was already thanking God for key words that had already been spoken but were also in my notes. God helped me to build a message to encourage the ladies in their faith in Him, their spiritual fitness and the purpose He had planned for each of their lives. Faith, Spiritual Fitness and Purpose all matters of the heart. I am so glad we serve a God who is in constant pursuit of our heart and encourages us to guard our heart , for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23). It was a privilege to be a part of this conference and to encourage these beautiful, strong women to keep their hearts focused on God and allow Him to guide their steps to accomplish all He has for their lives.

Please join me in daily prayers, asking God to protect, strengthen and encourage all woman serving in the military.
